Cashiers will be responsible for handling transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Bag merchandise using appropriate packaging for shipment
• Compute and record incoming transactions
• Count cash drawer money at the start of every shift
• Sort coins and wrap them appropriately
• Identify product prices using calculators, cash registers, or relevant equipment
• Greet and assist customers upon entering the store
• Print receipts and issue refunds as needed
• Maintain balanced sheets periodically
• Accept payments via cash or card
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized
• Stock shelves with goods and conduct periodic stock checks

Qualifications

• Possess a Matric or Grade 12 qualification
• Basic understanding of computer literacy
• Prior working experience as a cashier
• Ability to work efficiently with money
• Strong interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to delivering exemplary customer service
